Caution should be usedwhen searching the network.It is easy to make mistakes that might lead you to conclude that your physician, dentist, hospital, pharmacy, or medical facility is not in the CIGNA network when, in fact, they are.Please begin by following the instructions below.




1.To find network hospitals (or if your hospital is in the network)

-Click “Hospital” on the first screen.
-Enter zip code or city and state (zip code is preferable).

-Click “Continue” at the bottom of the first screen.

-On the second screen, select the applicable “Plan”.

-Click “Continue” to initiate the search.




2.To determine if a particular physician is in the network

Perhaps the easiest and most direct way to find out if a particular physician (including your physician) is in the CIGNA network is simply to call the physician and ask.You can also search the CIGNA Search the Provider Directory http://cigna.benefitnation.net/cigna/(d4pdo545jiedp4idg2gelwa0)/docdir.aspx by following the steps listed below.

Note:if any other information is entered(such as distance willing to travel, type of specialist, hospital affiliation, gender, or language spoken), the system will return “No matching providers”.




3.To find a network physician in your area

Notes:

-If the search returns “No matching providers”, change the criteria and search again.

-The list returned can be sorted by distance or alphabetically.

-A hard copy provider directory is available to those insured by CIGNA.
